ANDEAN CROSSING 2 DAYS

 
 

The Andean Crossing is a legendary route through the Patagonian Andean Lakes that connects Argentina and Chile. For over four centuries, these trails were traversed by the Huilliche and Mapuche peoples, who left behind a legacy of legends. This journey offers the opportunity to experience a unique natural adventure, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
DAY 1
• MITRE: 8:00 a.m., departure by bus from the Bariloche office to Puerto Pañuelo, passing by Lake Nahuel Huapi.
• BARILOCHE-PUERTO PAÑUELO: En route, we will marvel at the beautiful Swiss-style architecture that characterizes the buildings in the area: beautiful gardens and flowers add color to the landscape until we reach Puerto Pañuelo.
• PUERTO PAÑUELO-BLEST: We will sail from Puerto Pañuelo to Puerto Blest aboard the Gran Victoria, crossing Lake Nahuel Huapi. We will observe the majestic landscapes, the green hues of the forests, the birds flying nearby, and learn more about the fascinating history of the destination.
• BLEST-FRÍAS: Arrival at Puerto Blest. We will travel by bus along the Frías River to Puerto Alegre, and then continue our journey by sailboat across Lake Frías, aboard the Victoria del Sur. Along this stretch of the lake, we'll enjoy beautiful views of Mount Tronador. After a short crossing, we'll arrive in Puerto Frías, where we'll complete the necessary border formalities.
• FRÍAS–PEULLA: We'll continue by bus to Peulla, with beautiful views of the Andes Mountains.
• PEULLA: Arrival in Peulla, an eco-lodge and a paradise for nature lovers. Free afternoon. Meals and accommodation are available at an additional cost.
DAY 2
• PEULLA–PETROHUÉ: We'll sail to Petrohué, crossing Lake Todos los Santos. Weather permitting, we'll be able to appreciate different and impressive views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes, as well as Mount Tronador.
• PETROHUÉ–PUERTO VARAS: We'll continue to Puerto Varas, passing by Lake Llanquihue. The landscape will be dominated by the impressive views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Arrival in Puerto Varas at 7.30 pm.
Note: The Andean Crossing is a tourist circuit; schedules are approximate and may change due to weather conditions and the number of passengers.
Important: Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Natura Patagonia or Hotel Peulla are not included.
