The tour arrives by bus to the dock of San Carlos, from there you walk to the river Calchaquí (500 m). At that point the river bed is over 500 meters wide, is made of very fine sand and practically has no water. It's a unique experience be in the lowest part of the valley and be surrounded by the mountains and ravines of the river. The walk along the bed of the river is a very special feeling; you can even walk across the river as it has very little depth (40 cm).
