IT COMBINES TWO HALF-DAY EXCURSIONS: GUIDED WALK IN THE FOREST + KAYAK ACTIVITY + LUNCH + MOTORBOAT RIDE TO HIDDEN CASCADE.
When we arrive at La Lorenza we hike along a forest trail, abundant in plant and bird species. During this interpretative walk we learn about the yerba mate plant that grows wild in the jungle of La Lorenza. Then, around a circular bonfire or in a typical house (rainy day), we are introduced to the local culture and our national drink: Mate. With our own hands we elaborate this popular infusion, following the process that the Guarani people used to do from the plant to the recipient. We share the history of this popular drink, the sacred meaning it had for the Guarani, the influence of the Jesuits and the secret importance it has today for us, the Argentines. A 20 minute walk through the forest takes us to the coast where the kayaks will be waiting for us. One hour of gentle paddling between borders invite us to contemplate the forest from a different perspective and to get into its rhythm. A swim in the river is possible as there are no aggressive animals in its waters. Back in land, a 45 minutes natural history guided walk through the forest, with lot to observe and learn, take us to the main house where a delicious Lunch (AM) / Early Dinner (PM) awaits us with a privileged view and a nice chat with the owners of La Lorenza.
