Argentina. Mendoza
We leave Mendoza on the International Route N 7, through the central Andes to reach Horcones. An incredible path starts from there, to reach Horcones Lagoon (2,950 m.a.s.l.) After an hour walk, we reach the famous hanging bridge on the Horcones River and the “Quebrada del Durazno” (Peach’s Gorge). We take a break there to enjoy the scenery. After another 2 hours, we reach Confluencia (3,300 m.a.s.l.) the first base camp of the highest peak of South America, the Aconcagua (6,962 m.a.s.l.). In this lovely area, we will enjoy our lunch and finally, some rest too. After getting to know a bit more about mountaineering, we will return to Horcones.
